Part time Full Receptionist/Office Clerk

R.D. McFarlane in Stenhousemuir are looking for a part time receptionist/ office clerk to join their practice team.

The right candidate would:

Provide exceptional customer service.

Show attention to detail and a level of perfectionism in admin duties.

R.D. McFarlane and Opticians are a group of 4 independent optometry practices based primarily in Forth Valley but also in the Scottish Borders. We pride ourselves on providing personal, friendly service to our patients and providing the highest quality eyecare and vision correction that we can.

Key duties include:

Be the first person patients interact with when coming into the practice

Work with a range of patients to book apointments and collections for glasses

Be involved in ordering frames and contact lenses.

Book-keeping, running the till and end of day banking

Keeping the practice clean and tidy, ensuring it is ready for optometry clinics.

Helping organising frames, including pricing, cleaning and returning

Using Xeyex practice management system to ensure seamless record keeping and deliver a smooth patient journey through our practice.

Job Type: Part-time

Work Location: In person

22.5 Hours a week job share, however, the successful candidate is required to work full time for training and to cover holidays. Typical work pattern: Monday 9am-5pm, Tuesday 9am-6:30pm and Wednesday 9am-5pm. Candidate must have excellent communication skills, work well in a team as well as work independently.
