The Role
We are seeking a committed and passionate Teacher to join our education team. You will be responsible for delivering tailored lessons to individuals or small groups of pupils, both within and outside of the classroom environment. Your aim will be to engage learners, meet their individual needs, and help them reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and deliver engaging, individualised lessons and resources
Assess pupils with long- or short-term learning difficulties
Work collaboratively with colleagues to identify and meet pupils' special educational needs
Develop high-quality teaching materials using a range of methods and approaches
Maintain a positive, supportive classroom culture and promote the curriculum's development
Provide cover for absent colleagues when required
Safeguard and support the wellbeing of all children and young people in your care
Person Specification
Qualifications (Essential):
Recognised Teacher Education qualification or working towards
Level 5 CPD in Literacy/Numeracy or Degree-level qualification (or working towards)
Qualifications (Desirable):
Additional qualifications relevant to subject specialisms
Experience (Essential):
Proven teaching experience, ideally in varied settings (e.g., independent schools, PRUs, or colleges)
Ability to differentiate for and support learners with diverse needs
Experience managing mixed-ability groups in a range of environments
Demonstrated ability to encourage and inspire learners
Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Deep commitment to safeguarding and educational quality
Enthusiastic, adaptable, and flexible approach
Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
Passionate about supporting children and young people with complex needs
Resilient, empathetic, and able to maintain a professional, positive attitude
