Job Description
Established in 1991, JY Hygiene Supplies Ltd is a family owned and run biomedical engineering and consumable supply company, with customer care and support at its core. The company supplies continence management, janitorial and medical products, as well as a wide range of medical equipment.
Since 2008, JY Hygiene has become one of Northern Ireland's leading providers of patient moving and handling equipment. In addition to a range of staff and product training, J.Y. Hygiene provides tailor-made equipment maintenance programs for care homes, community groups and hospitals.
JY Hygiene Supplies is now looking for a Part-Time/Full-Time Lorry & Van Driver, who will be based at our Head Office just outside Warrenpoint and delivering across Northern Ireland.
Responsibilities include:
Planning delivery schedules and routes to ensure maximum fuel efficiency
Multi-drop deliveries and collections, where required
Unloading of all customer orders on site
Accurate completion of all related paperwork as required
Document and log work/rest periods
Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods), as well as company policies and procedures
Manoeuvre trucks into loading or unloading positions
Carry out basic vehicle safety checks and report any concerns/issues
Ensure company vehicle(s) are kept clean and tidy at all times
Assisting with warehouse duties including picking and loading of all incoming and outgoing goods from company warehouse
Requirements for the role:
A current valid and clean professional driver's license, including Category C1 (up to 7.5 tonne)
Adherence to manual handling legislation
Good communication skills
Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations
Excellent organisational and time management skills
A company uniform and photographic ID is supplied for carrying out all of the above activities.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: 28,000.00-29,500.00 per year
