We're looking for a

Technical Estimator

to join our experienced team, supporting the pricing and delivery of passive fire protection and fire door projects nationwide. You'll work closely with our operations and commercial teams, ensuring every proposal reflects the high standards Mitie is known for.

Key Responsibilities

Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents to prepare accurate cost estimates. Quantify materials and labour for firestopping and fire door works. Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to clarify project details. Prepare and submit tenders, including value engineering options. Maintain pricing databases and ensure all proposals meet FIRAS, ASFP, and internal compliance standards. Support project handovers to ensure seamless delivery.

What We're Looking For

Experience in estimating within

fire protection, fire doors

, or a related

construction discipline

. Confidence in interpreting drawings and specifications. Strong attention to detail, communication, and organisational skills. Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and estimating software. A proactive, collaborative mindset -- someone who enjoys solving problems and improving processes. FIRAS / ASFP knowledge or accreditation is an advantage, but not essential.
