Job Summary: IFC Certification is growing and we're looking for Inspectors and Senior Inspectors to join our dynamic team. You'll play a key role in upholding fire safety standards by conducting audits and inspections under the IFCC Passive Installer Certification Scheme. This is a home-based role, with regular travel 3-4 days a week to client offices and construction sites across the UK. About the role:
Ability to plan and organise day-to-day activities involving administrative, investigative, inspection, auditing, measuring, and reporting skills
Liaison with clients on office system and site installation requirements for installer certification in support of the IFCC scheme and any other relevant requirements
Conduct initial and surveillance audits of clients' office systems and site installation work as required in accordance with BS EN ISO 17065 and the IFCC scheme
Carry out site inspections of buildings in accordance with clients' specific requirements and ISO/IEC 17020
Report inspection findings in accordance with ISO/IEC 17020
Support internal quality audits relating to UKAS Accreditations held by IFCC
Senior Inspector additional responsibilitiesLine management of Inspectors within your geographical area
Review audit and inspection reports prepared by Inspectors
Provide additional oversight and leadership support to the wider inspection team
Do you have what it takes?:
A proven background in a technical or quality control role for either a certification/inspection body, manufacturer of passive fire protection products, or application/installation contractor
Able to work closely and co-operatively with clients and stakeholders
Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
A full, valid UK driving licence, along with a flexible approach, the ability to work independently, adapt to irregular hours when needed, and a willingness to travel.
