The Pasta Production Operative faces the challenge of ensuring that food goods are prepared and packaged to the highest of quality and food safety standards. Our clients are high end restaurants and retail outlets so quality is at the top of our priorities.
The post holder needs to be able to follow written and spoken instruction and also production schedules. They will work to optimise productivity, working as part of a high-performing team and will be required to produce a high-quality product using agreed recipes and methods of both hand-made and machine production techniques. Daily challenges should be responded to with a positive 'can-do' attitude.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor production machinery safely and efficiently
Handle, pack, and label pasta products according to company standards
Ensure quality control is maintained throughout the process
Maintain a clean and organised work area
Follow all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations
Support team members to meet daily production targets

Previous experience in food production or a factory environment (preferred, not essential)

Food Hygiene and Quality
Food safety standards must be observed ant all times
Always maintaining a clean environment
Running quality checks on the size and weight of finished products
Report any quality issues
Mixing ingredients
Conduct temperature checks
Weights and Measures
Checking and weighing raw materials
Report and weight issues
Machinery
Ensuring that machine settings are correct
Check machine temperatures where required and record them
Simple machine maintenance
Assembling, packaging, and labelling of products
Training
Undergoing training to become multi-skilled in all areas
Undertaking training on machinery before operation is allowed
