Production Operatives - Pasta Factory



The Pasta Production Operative faces the challenge of ensuring that food goods are prepared and packaged to the highest of quality and food safety standards. Our clients are high end restaurants and retail outlets so quality is at the top of our priorities.

The post holder needs to be able to follow written and spoken instruction and also production schedules. They will work to optimise productivity, working as part of a high-performing team and will be required to produce a high-quality product using agreed recipes and methods of both hand-made and machine production techniques. Daily challenges should be responded to with a positive 'can-do' attitude.

Key Responsibilities



Operate and monitor production machinery safely and efficiently Handle, pack, and label pasta products according to company standards Ensure quality control is maintained throughout the process Maintain a clean and organised work area Follow all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations Support team members to meet daily production targets

What We're Looking For



Right to work in the UK Previous experience in food production or a factory environment (preferred, not essential) Good attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work as part of a team Reliable, punctual, and with a strong work ethic Willingness to learn and adapt to different tasks Good spoken English Ability to work accurately to produce consistent hand-made products, an eye for detail. Good physical health Basic numeracy and literacy skills

Desired Experience



GCSE English GCSE Mathematics Previous work in a kitchen or food production facility Basic Food Hygiene Certificate Level 3 Food Safety Award Level 2 Health and Safety in the Workplace Award
More specifically the Production Operative role entails:

Food Hygiene and Quality



Food safety standards must be observed ant all times Always maintaining a clean environment Running quality checks on the size and weight of finished products Report any quality issues Mixing ingredients Conduct temperature checks

Weights and Measures



Checking and weighing raw materials Report and weight issues

Machinery



Ensuring that machine settings are correct Check machine temperatures where required and record them Simple machine maintenance Assembling, packaging, and labelling of products

Training



Undergoing training to become multi-skilled in all areas Undertaking training on machinery before operation is allowed

Pay: 12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 45 - 48 per week
