At our ARU Writtle campus, we specialise in animal, environmental, agricultural and horticultural courses, for learners aged 16 to 18, adult learners, undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
About the Role:
Based at our Writtle College campus, you will play a key role in supporting the wellbeing, behaviour, and attendance of our learners. Working closely with students, teaching staff, and support teams, you'll help foster a positive and inclusive learning environment. You will monitor attendance patterns, support interventions to improve engagement, and provide pastoral care to students facing personal or academic challenges. This role is vital in promoting a culture of respect, resilience, and responsibility across the college community.
With experience of working in a Further Education environment, you'll bring a proactive and empathetic approach to supporting students. You'll be confident in managing a varied workload, responding to emerging issues around behaviour, attendance and welfare with sensitivity and professionalism. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with young people are essential. You'll be adaptable and resilient--no two days will be the same--and committed to promoting a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
To be successful in this role you will have two A levels or vocational qualification at NVQ level 3 or equivalent in relevant area, e.g. education, mental health or equivalent, or willingness to work towards this.
