Position: Pastoral Support Worker

Location: Leigh, across primary and secondary sites

Support Focus: SEMH and behaviour needs of children

Duration: Temporary-to-Permanent

Salary: \xc2\xa376.89 - \xc2\xa380.89 per day (initial daily rate)

At our alternative provision school in Leigh, we are committed to providing a supportive and nurturing environment for our students. With facilities spanning both primary and secondary sites, the staff work tirelessly to address the social, emotional, mental health, and behavioural needs of their young learners.

As a Pastoral Support Worker, your primary role will be to offer essential guidance, support, and mentor-ship to our students. You\'ll have the opportunity to take children off site for enriching experiences in the community, such as engaging in sports activities at the local park. This hands-on approach allows staff to foster personal growth, develop vital life skills, and build lasting relationships with students.

Requirements:

• Driving License: To excel in this role, you must possess a valid driver\'s license. The ability to drive is essential as you will be responsible for transporting children off site for various activities.
• Flexibility to work between the primary and secondary school sites.
• Passion for supporting the social and emotional development of students.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Resilience and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
• Hold an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
• CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible.
