About the role
You will support the Head Pastry Chef in the preparation of mise en place, following prep lists, and delivering high-quality dishes during service. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean, organised, and well-stocked section, ensuring readiness for each service. A key part of the role is upholding the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency for both guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and production of pastry items, desserts, breads, and baked goods to the highest standard.
Follow prep lists and recipes accurately, ensuring consistency in taste, texture, and presentation.
Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic workstation in line with food safety standards.
Ensure your section is fully stocked and ready for service at all times.
Support senior chefs with mise en place and service as required.
Monitor ingredient quality and report any shortages or issues to the Head Pastry Chef.
Uphold kitchen health & safety, hygiene, and allergen protocols at all times.
Contribute to the smooth running of service by working efficiently and collaboratively with the team.
Show initiative in learning new techniques and improving pastry skills.
