Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, with a particular focus on baking and pastry techniques. Duties

Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes. Assist in the development of new dessert recipes and menu items, showcasing creativity and innovation. Ensure all food production adheres to health and safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen at all times. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of high-quality dishes during service hours. Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and ingredients, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock. Maintain equipment used in food preparation, ensuring it is clean and in good working order. Participate in training new kitchen staff on baking techniques and food safety practices.

Requirements

Proven experience in food production and preparation within a professional kitchen environment. Strong culinary skills with a focus on baking and pastry techniques. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in a restaurant setting. Previous experience working in a restaurant or similar culinary establishment is preferred. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under pressure. A passion for creating high-quality desserts and an eye for detail in presentation.
