Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, with a particular focus on baking exquisite pastries and desserts. Duties

Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes and presentation standards. Assist in the creation of new dessert recipes, contributing innovative ideas to enhance the menu offerings. Ensure all food production meets health and safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service and efficient workflow during busy periods. Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock. Maintain equipment used in food preparation, ensuring it is clean and in good working condition. Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure quality and safety throughout the production process.

Skills

Proficient in culinary techniques related to baking and pastry preparation. Strong knowledge of food safety standards and practices within a restaurant environment. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining high-quality output. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in both presentation and execution of dishes. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is crucial.
