Award winning pub, The Farmers Arms, is seeking a Commis Chef to work in pastry. Experience not required, but you must have a keen interest in food and be willing to learn.
Our food ethos is local, foraged, fresh and sustainable. We are a modern pub and we make everything in house, from sourdough bread to ice cream. We have our own 150 acre farm to supply fresh produce and unique flavour profiles as well. You would work with our Pastry Chef to complete mise en place and service, as well as covering her three days off.

Job Duties:
Preparation of ingredients under the supervision of a senior chef, stock rotation, completion of daily checklists and logs
Maintaining the very highest standards of food production, hygiene, cleanliness and following Health & Safety procedures.
Work well in a team environment with the customers experience always being paramount
Have a good attitude, be open minded to new techniques, a different perspective and a willingness to learn in order to create something special
Skill Requirements:
Excellent communication skills; verbal and written
Must be able to follow checklists, wastage sheets and training documents
Employment Package:
40 hour per week minimum contract
transitional staff housing available if needed
tips are shared with the chefs as well
You must have your own transportation, as we are located in a village with limited public transportation.

Pay: 12.63 per hour
