We are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a passionate and talented Pastry Junior Sous Chef to join our esteemed team at the Ham Yard Hotel. As a key member of our kitchen brigade, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of pastry production and presentation. Your creativity and expertise will contribute to our reputation for culinary excellence and innovation.

Responsibilities:

Assist the Head Pastry Chef in the preparation and production of high-quality pastry items Supervise and mentor junior pastry team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment Ensure all pastry items are prepared to the highest standards of quality and consistency Maintain meticulous attention to detail in the presentation and decoration of pastries Manage your section efficiently, ensuring timely and precise execution of orders Uphold health and safety standards in the kitchen, including proper food storage and hygiene practices Collaborate with the broader kitchen team to develop new pastry recipes and menu items

What you Need:

Proven experience in a similar role within a high-paced, high-volume kitchen A genuine passion for food, with a particular emphasis on pastry arts Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to excellence Strong organisational and communication skills Experience supervising a small team and managing your section with confidence
