Be the Heart of Patient Care: Join Our Team as a Practice Administrator
If you're passionate about helping others, thrive in a dynamic environment, and enjoy making a real difference in people's lives, this is the perfect role for you.
As a vital member of our practice team, you'll be the welcoming face and calm voice that supports patients from the moment they walk in or call. You'll play a key role in keeping the practice running smoothly, supporting clinical staff, and ensuring that every patient receives timely, respectful, and compassionate care.
What You'll Do: A Role with Purpose and Variety
Be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, creating a warm, approachable environment both in person and over the phone.
Assist patients in navigating healthcare services, ensuring they're connected with the right professionals efficiently and with care.
Support the administrative heartbeat of the practice: managing appointments, processing requests, coordinating communications, and assisting with day-to-day clerical duties.
Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment for both staff and patients.
Foster strong, respectful communication between patients, colleagues, and healthcare partners.
Your Responsibilities: More Than Just a Job
Your day may include:
Opening or securing the practice premises
Managing and monitoring the appointment system
Handling patient inquiries, appointment bookings, and prescription requests
Distributing incoming mail and managing outgoing communications
Keeping digital and paper records accurate and up to date
Assisting clinical staff with documentation, data entry, and office support
Stocking and tidying consultation rooms and reception areas
Ensuring supplies are maintained and clinical waste is handled correctly
Supporting team wellbeing, from offering refreshments to keeping shared spaces inviting and hygienic
A Role that Values Confidentiality, Safety, and Respect
You'll handle sensitive patient and practice information with the highest level of discretion and integrity.
You'll contribute to a safe, inclusive, and respectful work environment that upholds our health, safety, infection control, and equality standards.
What We're Looking For:
A friendly, professional communicator who is passionate about patient care
Someone organized, dependable, and proactive in supporting team effectiveness
A commitment to confidentiality, continuous learning, and delivering high-quality service
Respect for diversity, patient dignity, and individual rights
What You'll Gain:
A collaborative and supportive work culture
Opportunities for personal and professional development
The satisfaction of making a daily impact on patients' lives and healthcare experiences
