Main duties of the job




We are looking for a motivated, dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our administrative team and support with coordination and scheduling of an expanded programme of work.



Reporting to the Assistant Service Manager for Gastroenterology you will work closely with the Administrative and Clerical team to support the administration and scheduling of day case, inpatient and outpatient activity for the Gastroenterology Service. A flexible approach and excellent interpersonal skills are essential in addition to high standards of customer service.



The post holder will be the point of contact for all administrative and clerical issues relating to a patient's care pathway, tracking and supporting patients from referral to treatment &/or discharge.



The role will requires you to manage and support queries from patients, clinicians and fellow staff. Excellent telephone skills and good IT proficiency will also be essential in helping with day-to-day duties. The role requires the postholder to be able to work at both hospital sites each week.
