Role Objectives:


The WEP Patient Visit Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting decentralised clinical trials by ensuring seamless coordination of in-home patient visits. By working closely with project management teams, patients, home healthcare providers, and other stakeholders, this role enhances the patient experience and ensures the success of clinical trials. As a Patient Visit Coordinator, you'll ensure the integrity and quality of the clinical trial is maintained and conducted in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, GCP (Good Clinical Practice) guidelines, and sponsor protocols.

What You'll Do:



Schedule and coordinate in-home patient visits for trial participants with mobile research nurses and other home health care providers, ensuring adherence to the clinical trial's timeline and protocol requirements. Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, caregivers and nurses regarding visit scheduling, trial procedures, and troubleshooting issues related to in-home patient visits. Collaborate with home healthcare providers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of services, including collecting patient data, administering assessments, and conducting clinical trial procedures. Ensure that home healthcare nurses are trained and updated on clinical trial protocols and visit requirements. Quality check documentation from Home Healthcare nurses to ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient visits, clinical data, and visit outcomes on the project-specific source. Address and resolve any challenges related to patient visits, including logistical issues, non-compliance, or patient concerns, while maintaining a high standard of care. Report any adverse events, protocol deviations, or safety concerns during home healthcare visits to the project management team. Ensure that all activities comply with applicable regulatory standards, including GCP (Good Clinical Practice), HIPAA, and other industry regulations. Provide regular updates and reports to the project management team, including visit completion status, any delays, and key observations regarding patient engagement or challenges that may arise.

What You'll Need:



Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field (e.g., Nursing, Life Sciences, Healthcare Administration) or equivalent experience. 2-4 years of experience in clinical research, decentralised clinical trials or home healthcare, or equivalent combination of education, experience and expertise. Experience working with healthcare providers, patients, and/or clinical trial teams. Familiarity with clinical trial documentation and data management systems (EDC, CTMS, etc.). Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple visits and tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and clinical teams. Knowledge of clinical trial operations, regulations (GCP, ICH), and the ethical considerations related to human research. Proficiency with MS Office Suite and clinical trial management systems. Ability to work independently and problem-solve in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Certification in Clinical Research (e.g., CCRP, CCRC) is a plus.
