JOB DESCRIPTION


About the role



We have an exciting opportunity for a Payments Manager to join the Guinness Team. This is a full time, 35 hours per week 15-month fixed term maternity cover vacancy based in our Oldham, Bower House office. We are currently working to a hybrid working style.



The overall purpose of the role is to manage an effective and efficient payables function ensuring services are delivered to a high standard with strong processes and controls in place. Deliver accurate, high quality and regulatory compliant accounts payable reconciliations and reporting across Guinness.

You'll be able to demonstrate




Essential:




Experience and strong knowledge of accounts payable. Experience of managing a transactional finance team in a complex organisation. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Good attention to detail with ability to work under pressure, prioritising and managing a varied workload to meet agreed deadlines. The ability to understand business operations and identify key risks and implement robust controls to mitigate these risks. Excellent verbal and written communications and the ability to present effectively to varying levels in an organisation. Proven customer service experience. Demonstrates the Guinness Behaviours.

Desirable:




Experience of using Oracle Cloud. Experience of month end processes and financial reconciliation. Knowledge of income and expenditure accounts and balance sheet (as appropriate).

Qualifications




Essential:




AAT Qualified or Foundation level CIMA / CCAB Qualification.
