Key Responsibilities:
Act as a client account manager for a designated group of clients.
Deliver timely and accurate payroll, pension, and HR administrative support.
Ensure employee payments and compliance requirements are met.
Provide first-line support for transactional HR/payroll queries.
Assist in HMRC reconciliations and processing of BACS/third-party payments.
Collaborate on the improvement of service delivery and system developments.
Handle sensitive and confidential data with integrity and discretion.
Support invoicing processes for clients (monthly, quarterly, annually).
Aid in training and mentoring team members, as appropriate.
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and best practice alignment.
Requirements:
Essential Skills and Experience:
Experience with payroll/HR systems and handling confidential information.
Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills.
Competency in using Microsoft Word and Excel.
Understanding of statutory deductions (e.g., Tax, NI, SMP, SPP).
Ability to manage workload independently and meet tight deadlines.
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Desirable:
Experience with Local Government, Teachers' Pensions, or NHS payrolls.
Familiarity with integrated HR/Payroll systems.
Certified Payroll qualification (e.g., CIPP Payroll Technician Certificate) or equivalent experience.
