Job Description

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Payroll Administration - Process and check payroll as requested and carry out administrative duties as required. To be fully conversant with payroll legislation and to be able to calculate and prepare manual payments, SSP, SMP and Pensions - Auto Enrolment. To ensure payrolls received are processed accurately and paid on time. To ensure all output is i) correct, ii) legible, iii) despatched without delay. To co-ordinate all payrolls and liaise with other members of the team regarding the priority for all work to be processed. Handle, resolve and respond to queries that may arise from clients and Payroll Team Leader and deal with HMRC, clients by responding to queries. To check payroll reports for errors and if necessary, make corrections before processing. To ensure all complaints and queries arising from clients are recorded and to draft letter of reply, for review. To ensure at all times the confidentiality of clients' payrolls. To deal with any payroll issues and report to your line manager. To ensure internal lists are kept up to date and specific actions required on payrolls are documented and reviewed regularly. To be able to produce and complete tax year end documentation returns as required. To ensure preparation and submission of year end returns for online filing. Prepare and process BACS payments as well as filing of EPS and FPS returns

Skills/Qualification/Experience

In depth knowledge of current PAYE legislation. The ability to resolve issues/queries quickly and competently is essential. Quick and accurate processing of payroll for clients - IRIS and Sage experience is preferable but not essential. Good Communication skills. Able to work autonomously and in a busy and dynamic environment
Location
This job will be mainly based in North Finchley, London but may require to undertake travel to client's premises as and when required.

The following benefits package is available:

A very competitive salary will be offered but this will be dependent on experience and is to be negotiated at interview 20 days holiday a year plus bank holidays
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 27,000.00-30,000.00 per year
