Across our retail and institutional retirement businesses, we look after more than 1 million customers, around c.700,000 of whom are institutional customers who have had their retirement benefits secured with us.

We're recruiting for a Payroll Consultant to join us. We're offering a competitive base salary.

What you'll be doing:

Managing the transition of pensioner payrolls from previous providers Loading annuitant schemes and amendments onto administration systems Reconciling buy-in payments and ensuring accuracy within agreed timescales Supporting clients with ongoing queries and updates Ensuring benefits and payments align with benefit specifications Documenting and testing processes for consistency and improvement Maintaining full audit trails across all data lifecycle stages Communicating key updates to internal teams and third parties to support customer outcomes

Qualifications

Who we're looking for:

Demonstrating experience in payroll or pensions administration Understanding defined benefit pension schemes and relevant legislation Working confidently with Excel and data management tools Prioritising tasks effectively and meeting deadlines Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders Maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance Showing commitment to treating customers fairly and ethically Holding or working towards relevant qualifications (e.g. CII, PMI, CPP)
