Job Description
We are seeking a Payroll Manager to oversee and manage all payroll operations within the not-for-profit sector. This permanent position is based in Sunderland and requires expertise in accounting and finance processes.
- Manage and oversee end-to-end payroll processing for the organisation.
- Ensure compliance with all payroll-related regulations and statutory requirements.
- Maintain and update payroll systems and records accurately.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate reporting and reconciliations.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee payroll queries promptly.
- Provide guidance and support to team members on payroll-related matters.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations relevant to the not-for-profit sector.
The successful Payroll Manager will have:
- Proven experience in payroll management within accounting and finance.
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems and statutory requirements in the UK.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Solid communication skills to liaise with team members and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in relevant software and IT systems.
