Job Description
The M J Allen Group of Companies are looking for a Payroll Officer to join our friendly accounts team at our Ashford, Kent head office. We are a group of engineering companies located in Ashford, Kent, and Derbyshire. No agencies please.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the payroll process of weekly and monthly payrolls end to end.
Monitor and maintain Time and Attendance system in respect of payroll integration. Complete banking transmissions and account reconciliations. Process pension contributions Work with HR, colleagues and managers to ensure all payroll changes are correctly captured and processed. Respond to queries promptly and professionally Undertake payroll reporting, audits, and year-end close down. Support continuous process improvements to increase payroll efficiency and accuracy.
Person Specification
To be successful in this role you will have previous payroll experience within a complex, multi-site organisation and a strong working knowledge of payroll processes and statutory requirements
You'll be able to work to deadlines, manage priorities, identify solutions and handle confidential information with discretion and adopt a team-focused approach, with excellent communication and problem solving skills.
You will also have a strong attention to detail and sound Excel skills.
Hours:- 8.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. Monday to Thursday and 8.30 a.m. to 4.00 pm Fridays

CIPP Chartered Institute of Payroll Professional qualification
