To assist the Payroll Team with the delivery of the payroll service and to provide an external payroll service to voluntary sector organisations, people in receipt of direct payments and small businesses. Using your knowledge and skills you will work within a team to provide payroll services; you will work with external agencies to ensure the smooth running of the service and work with service users to ensure the service is delivered to a high standard.
Therefore, we require a suitably qualified and experienced person to take this project forward.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
To act as point of contact for payroll clients
To process the clients payroll using the Moneysoft software
To chase and liaise with clients to ensure all payroll information and forms have been filled in and the payroll processed in a timely manner
To liaise with HMRC and Pension Providers
To liaise with the Direct Payments team at the East Riding of Yorkshire Council
To manage Auto-Enrolments for Pensions
To file the RTI and year end returns for payroll clients
To do necessary banking
To file paperwork
To invoice clients
To respect confidentiality of information and follow the Data Protection and Anti-Money Laundering regulations
GENERAL JOB TASKS
To ensure that members of the Phoenix Accountancy Business and Consultancy team and the Community VISION team are kept adequately informed of your work and that information is provided as requested by your line manager.
To act as a contact point for Community Accountancy Service enquiries and answering the switchboard as required.
To manage time and workload effectively
To participate in planning and team building activities within Phoenix Accountancy Business and Consultancy and Community VISION and to contribute to the core operation and development of the organisation
To take part in supervision / appraisal meetings as agreed in line with internal policies.
To undertake in-service training as appropriate
To respect confidentiality of all information acquired through working at both Phoenix Accountancy Business and Consultancy and Community VISION within the framework of the confidentiality policy
To work in a self-servicing capacity
To keep professionally informed on developments in accounts and appropriate voluntary sector issues and undertake appropriate training
To adhere to the policies and procedures and Information Governance requirements of the Board of Trustees
To adhere to Equality and Diversity Policies and Health and Safety at all times
To undertake such other duties as are commensurate to the nature of this work and level of responsibility after consultation and agreement with the Board of Trustees
