About the Role





As a Payroll Officer, you'll manage the end-to-end administration, processing, and compliance of weekly and monthly payroll and pension tasks, ensuring data is accurate, timely, and well-analysed.



This is a part-time role, offering 24 to 27 hours per week, within our standard working hours of 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.



Key Responsibilities:


Manage payroll processes including new starters, changes, leavers, and compliance. Maintain 100% compliance with internal audit and legal standards. Calculate and record sickness, maternity, and paternity benefits. Handle various pay types: overtime, bonuses, allowances, and commission. Ensure timely payments to HMRC, including year-end/RTI and P11D processing. Communicate with HMRC on starters, leavers, and tax matters. Comply with legislation on Tax, NI, and government reporting. Ensure accurate deductions and liaise with external providers as needed. Reconcile monthly accounts with Finance to ensure accurate ledgers and costings. Update salaries and wages annually. Calculate weekly holiday pay. Respond promptly to payroll queries. Drive continuous improvement in payroll processes.

Pension Administration:


Manage internal pension processes, including deductions, starters, leavers, and contribution changes. Ensure accurate completion of statutory forms and paperwork. Operate the Auto-Enrolment Assist Me system with Scottish Widows. Produce quarterly pension reports and maintain up-to-date records.

About You





You're an experienced payroll professional confident in managing end-to-end weekly and monthly payroll in a high-volume, multi-site environment.



You'll bring:
