UK Payroll Client Manager
looking for a new challenge in a thriving, professional environment? Recently relocated to Leigh on Sea we are committed to providing exceptional service to local businesses, and are looking for a proactive and detail-driven payroll expert to lead our payroll function.
About the Role
As Payroll Manager, you will take full responsibility for managing payroll services on behalf of our diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and caring service.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end payroll processing for multiple clients on a weekly, fortnightly, and monthly basis using Money Soft and FreshPay
Calculate statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP) and process pension contributions and auto-enrolment duties
Submit RTI (Real Time Information) to HMRC
Maintain accurate payroll records and handle payroll queries from clients and HMRC
Manage P45s, P60s, and year-end payroll procedures
Liaise with clients to collect payroll information and ensure timely submission of data
Keep up to date with the latest UK payroll legislation and ensure all compliance requirements are met
Assist with onboarding new payroll clients and implementing efficient payroll systems
About You
Proven experience in a payroll role, ideally within a practice or multi-client environment
In-depth knowledge of UK payroll legislation and HMRC procedures
Experience using payroll software (e.g. Moneysoft ideally)
Strong communication skills with a client-focused approach
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines effectively
History of CPD completion and drive to complete regular CPD

Working Hours:
We are open to suggestions on a flexible work pattern to weight more hours towards the final week of the month and less on other weeks.
Also open to build up hours over time if interested.
