Our client has a rare opportunity for a Payroll Officer on a temp to perm basis. Key Responsibilities:

Payroll

  • Managing the payroll process for multiple monthly Group payrolls - overseeing all payroll activity, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Preparing and running Company payrolls, ensuring these are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Maintaining the payroll processing system and records by gathering, collating, and inputting data
  • Manage payroll systems and liaising with payroll systems suppliers to resolve issues and queries
  • Manage recording and accounting of employee benefits, including P11d submissions
  • In conjunction with the HR team, dealing with employee payroll queries
  • Submitting RTI information and dealing with HMRC queries when they arise
  • Ensure all payroll information and records are maintained in accordance with statutory requirements and support internal and external audits
Accounts
  • Supporting the Accounts Payable team from time to time with invoice posting, coding employee expenses and assisting with month-end supplier statement reconciliations;
  • Processing payments to suppliers
  • Ad hoc accounts work as required by the team (e.g. balance sheet reconciliations, VAT returns, etc)
As the successful candidate you will have:
  • Iris Payroll systems exposure essential
  • Experience of managing end to end payroll processes
  • Detailed knowledge of PAYE and regulations
  • Experience of manual calculations, and payment and deduction types
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to be able to problem solve.
  • Experience and understanding of payroll related compliance.
