The Role
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our Finance team on a fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. This role involves a hands-on approach to processing monthly payroll, HMRC submissions, and year-end routines. You will also support pension management and work closely with HR to ensure smooth system transitions and the implementation of new processes.
Key Responsibilities
Process monthly payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations.
Submit HMRC filings in a timely and accurate manner, including PAYE and NI contributions.
Manage year-end payroll routines and assist with pension schemes.
Collaborate with HR to implement system transition procedures and ensure processes are followed correctly.
Assist with employee benefits, including PSA and P11D submissions.
Ensure that payroll deadlines are consistently met and maintained.
What We're Looking For
Proven experience as a Payroll Officer or Senior Payroll Administrator (or in a similar payroll role).
Experience with Sage Payroll and/or Access Paycircle.
CIPP qualification (or working towards).
Positive attitude towards change and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in payroll processing.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
What We Offer
Salary:
Up to 30,000 pro rata (depending on experience)
