In this role, you will play a crucial part in overseeing the regional payroll team, ensuring the accurate and timely payment of colleagues while providing essential support to the Group Payroll Manager in implementing system and process enhancements. • Overseeing the payroll team and managing workloads
• Processing the payroll from start to finish within specific timeframes including new starters, leavers, contract and detail changes, statutory payments, court orders
• Importing and exporting payroll data
• RTI and auto enrolment
• Producing payroll reports
• Resolving payroll related queries
• Endorsing legislative compliance
• Maintaining accurate information to ensure debts, advances and other deductions and payments are correctly processed and managed
• Reviewing and reconciling the payroll
• Working with key stakeholders to review payrolls and maintain high standards of communication

The Ideal Candidate:

• Minimum 5 years payroll experience and understanding of payroll systems, experience in Sage an advantage
• Proficiency in using software and Excel / MS Office applications
• Adaptable, flexible, open to and accepting of change affecting you and your area of work and deal with that change efficiently and professionally
• Good communication and organisational skills and be able to multi-task
• Customer-focussed approach and desire to create a good service
• Ability to carry out duties with integrity and in a confidential manner
• Currently working on a payroll with a minimum headcount of 1500 people
