Powered Access PDI Engineer

Due to our continued growth and success, we are currently looking to recruit a Depot based engineer to undertake Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI's) working with our experienced Engineering team.

The main duties of this role are Pre-delivery inspections, Servicing, modifications, and Repairs to a range of machines and Equipment.

Duties:

Undertake PDI's on ensuring the operation of all aspects prior to delivery/installation at customer sites. Prepare machines for Hire, check all safety requirements. Cleaning down the machine before hire. Carry out minor and major services to machines. Participate in additional site duties such as loading/unloading machines from transport and assisting other colleagues. Attendance at relevant product training courses to keep up to date with Industry standards.

The key skills and qualities of a PDI Engineer:

Ideally you would have relevant experience or qualifications within the powered access industry e.g IPAF Licence and manufacturer courses.

Those with experience as a general engineer/ plant fitter or within the forklift industry would also be considered.

Some working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.

Strong awareness and time-management skills, able to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure in an ever-changing demanding hire environment.

Excellent communication skills and an understanding of the importance of providing excellent customer service.
