Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Part-Time Physical Education (PE) Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in physical education, experience working with children, and a commitment to fostering a healthy, active lifestyle among students. Responsibilities

Develop and implement engaging PE curriculum tailored to various age groups and skill levels Plan and execute dynamic lesson plans that incorporate fitness, sportsmanship, teamwork, and motor skills development Manage classroom activities effectively, ensuring student safety and participation Assess student progress through observation, standardized testing, and formative assessments Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate students with diverse needs. Maintain clear communication with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and behavioral management Incorporate literacy education, math integration, and other cross-curricular elements into physical activities when appropriate Uphold strong behaviour management standards to create a positive learning environment that encourages respect and cooperation Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and curriculum review processes

Skills

Experience with children across various age groups; nursery - year 6 Strong classroom management skills with the ability to foster a safe, inclusive environment Ability to create engaging lesson plans Experience working with students with special needs or behavioral challenges Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues Creativity in lesson planning and proficiency in proofreading instructional materials to ensure clarity and accuracy
