Derbyshire Pension Fund has a vacancy for a full-time Pensions Officer, temporary until 31/03/2024.

The Pension Fund team administers the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) on behalf of approximately 90,000 members and over 330 participating employers.

We are looking for someone who is highly motivated with the ability to manage their own workload and to work to deadlines. A strong background in pensions is required, with experience of working in Local Government Pension Scheme administration or a similar environment in occupational pensions.

The role requires good technical knowledge of public sector pensions administration and the motivation and ability to drive continual improvement.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate excellent IT and communication skills and the ability to co-ordinate team activity. The successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate a professional customer focused attitude and clearly communicate technical and complex information to scheme members and employers.

As a Pensions Officer in our team, you will have the opportunity to gain varied and rewarding managerial experience and will contribute to the governance of the Pension Fund.

The post will be based at County Hall in Matlock, however, there will be an opportunity to work flexibly.
