We're on the lookout for a Temporary People Administrator to support our busy People Team. The ideal person will have excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage time and juggle priorities effectively.
A great sense of humour is essential - and if you can make a decent brew, that's a bonus!
This is a fast-paced role where clear communication is key - both written and verbal. You'll need to be confident on the phone and comfortable liaising with colleagues, managers, and external contacts.
You'll be handling highly confidential information and may be part of sensitive conversations, so professionalism, discretion, and integrity are absolutely vital.
Duties
Assist and update employee records in our HR systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Support with maintaining absence records and compiling basic HR reports as required.
Help with ad hoc HR projects and initiatives, including data audits, policy updates, and employee engagement activities.
Ensure all HR processes are followed in line with company policy and relevant legislation.
Contribute to the continual improvement in the provision of HR practice within the business.
Provide support to the People Team on a day-to-day basis, on all ER issues including investigations, disciplinaries, grievance, performance and absence issues.
Ensure all relevant information is provided to the Payroll team in a timely manner.
Support with the recruitment and onboarding processes including conducting inductions and liaising with managers to arrange an induction program.
Support in building and updating of job descriptions and person specifications.
Support in any Learning & Development initiatives
Ensure information is processed efficiently and accurately.
Initiate, monitor and update database records and personal record files in order to maintain accurate data and to ensure all documentation required is held on file and meets compliance checks.
Key Skills
Support the People team in research and analysis.
Monitor the HR inbox and respond to routine queries, escalating where necessary.
Maintain confidentiality of employee information and ensure GDPR compliance in all administrative tasks.
Support the HR team with ad hoc projects, audits, or policy reviews.
