Working in the People Team
The People team is at the heart of making sure all of our Oxwashers have a first class people experience. We provide support to the business throughout the whole employee life cycle focusing on keeping our Oxwashers highly engaged.
We wear many hats and this is a very active role where no 2 days are the same! You'll play a key role in supporting day-to-day People operations--from recruitment and onboarding to supporting payroll and compliance--while helping shape a positive and engaging workplace culture. You will have lots of opportunity to learn and progress keeping your career mission on track for success!
This exciting opportunity is a part time role working 25 hours a week ideally Monday to Friday and is a fixed term contract until the end of September!
What You'll Be Doing
HR Administration:
Maintain accurate employee records, manage HR documentation, and support general admin duties.
Recruitment & Onboarding:
Coordinate job adverts, arrange interviews, prepare contracts and onboarding packs as well as support with the delivery of the People Induction.
Payroll & Benefits:
Collate data on absences, overtime, and changes for payroll processing.
Compliance
: Supporting the Head of People to ensure policies and practices are compliant with UK employment law and GDPR.
Employee Engagement:
Be a point of contact for employee queries and support wellbeing and engagement initiatives.
Training & Development:
Organise training sessions and track attendance and feedback.
Systems & Process Improvements:
Help streamline HR workflows using technology and automation.
Leave & Absence Management:
Track employee absences and assist with reporting and return-to-work processes.
Employee Events:
Supporting the organisation of employee events and off site meetings.
Requirements
What you need to be successful:
A proactive, can-do attitude and the ability to work independently
A people-first approach--you're friendly, engaging and a team player
Passion for continuous improvement and efficiency
Excellent organisational skills and an eye for detail with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks with ease
You'll need to be comfortable working with GSuite.
You'll have a laser sharp eye for detail to support admin and compliance tasks
You'll have great communication skills - both written and verbal.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
At least 2 years' HR admin experience in a similar role
Excellent communication and multitasking skills
High attention to detail and a passion for process improvement and automation
Discreet, professional, and reliable
Experience with payroll processing
Flexibility to support additional Business As Usual activities
Ability to act with integrity, tact and diplomacy with sensitive and confidential information and handle it in a secure and safe manner at all times
Desirable:
CIPD Level 3 or working towards
Knowledge of GSuite
A self-driven enthusiasm for continuous learning and development
Awareness of employment legislation as far as it impacts the role of a People Administrator
Strong HRIS skills including prior experience using HiBob
