The Role
As a People Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in supporting line managers and operational leaders across our Brands with sound, practical, and legally compliant employee relations advice. You will manage a wide range of ER cases, ensuring consistent application of people policies and best practices across the business. You'll also contribute to broader people initiatives, helping us foster a positive and engaging workplace culture where our people can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide timely, expert advice and coaching to managers on all ER matters, including but not limited to disciplinary, grievance, absence management, investigations, and performance concerns
Manage multiple complex and high-risk ER cases, ensuring compliance with employment law, internal policies, and ACAS best practices
Support in the development and review of ER policies and procedures
Track ER cases and identify trends and areas for improvement or proactive interventions
Act as a trusted advisor to line managers across different brands and locations, supporting them on day-to-day people matters
Build strong relationships with restaurant and operations teams to promote a proactive and positive HR culture
Support change management processes, including restructures, TUPE transfers, and redundancies
Deliver training sessions to line managers on people policies, ER handling, and people management skills
Support the wider People Team on employee life cycle processes, engagement initiatives, and people development projects
Contribute to people reporting, analytics, and compliance tracking
Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion through fair ER processes and inclusive practices and policies
About You
Essential Skills:
Proven experience in an HR Advisor or ER-focused role, ideally in hospitality, retail, or multi-site environment (min 2 years)
Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices
Demonstrable experience managing complex ER cases from start to resolution
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
Communication and collaboration skills, an individual who is adept at forging and maintaining multiple long-standing, productive relationships at all levels within the group
First-class interpersonal skills, to liaise with and influence internal stakeholders
Excellent organisation and time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload appropriately and the ability to switch between a diverse range of activities and manage multiple deliverables
High attention to detail with the ability to produce consistently accurate letters, reports and analysis
A collaborative and supportive team player
DesirableSkills:
Multi-brand or multi-site business experience
Experience with HRIS systems and ER case tracking tools
Exposure to TUPE, redundancy, or other organisational change processes
CIPD qualified or working towards
