Leuchie is seeking an experienced and proactive

People Advisor

to join our dedicated HR team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to both the

operational and developmental

aspects of HR within a values-driven organisation that makes a real difference to the lives of people with long-term conditions.

Reporting to the Director of People, Finance and Planning, you will provide comprehensive HR support and guidance across the organisation. You will be responsible for a range of activities including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and supporting line managers in delivering best practice. In addition, you will play a key role in supporting and developing our valued

volunteer team

, ensuring an engaging, inclusive, and rewarding volunteer experience. You will also contribute to the ongoing development of our people strategy, supporting learning and development initiatives, engagement, and wellbeing programmes.

Key responsibilities:



Provide day-to-day HR advice and support to managers, employees, and volunteers in line with policies and employment legislation Lead and support on employee relations matters including absence, conduct, and performance Support recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes for both employees and volunteers Contribute to HR and volunteer engagement projects that drive development, inclusion, and wellbeing Maintain accurate HR and volunteer records and produce reports as required Support and promote a positive, inclusive working and volunteering environment that reflects Leuchie's values

Essential skills and experience:



Proven experience in a similar HR advisory or officer role Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice Experience supporting or managing volunteer engagement is desirable Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and build strong relationships across all levels of the organisation CIPD qualification (Level 5 or working towards) is desirable
