This is a
people focused and commercially minded
role where you'll make a real difference. As
People Advisor
, you'll work in partnership with managers across Compass to drive our organisational objectives, values and People agenda. From
recruitment and onboarding to engagement, wellbeing, employee relations and change programmes
, you'll be a trusted source of advice and coaching throughout the employee lifecycle.
You'll be part of a
small, committed People team
supporting around 500 staff. You'll provide clear, practical advice on policies, employment law and casework, while also contributing to
training delivery, policy development, engagement initiatives and EDI projects
. No two days will look the same, one day you could be guiding a manager through a complex ER issue, the next, designing a training session or supporting onboarding for a new service.

This role is Part Time for 3 days a week (Weds, Thurs & Fri) and is initially a 6 month Fixed Term with the possibility of extending.
About You
-------------
You're a confident
HR generalist
who cares about getting things right for people. You bring empathy, clarity and sound judgement to your work, and you're used to
working closely with managers
to build their confidence and capability. You're
CIPD qualified
and comfortable advising on casework, supporting change and managing your own workload independently.
You'll need:
CIPD qualification
Experience in an HR Advisor role
Strong knowledge of employee relations and people policy
Understanding of HR software and applicant tracking systems (ATS)
Excellent organisation and time management skills
Confident communicator and relationship builder
Experience supporting organisational change and transitions
Flexibility to travel occasionally, including to York for monthly team meetings
You might also bring experience in the
not for profit or health and social care sector
, or hold a related degree. But most of all, you'll share our commitment to
