Job Title:

Learning and Development (L&D) Administrator


(2 days per week / 14.8 hours, based in Colchester with occasional travel to our Braintree site)


Join our dynamic team as a

Learning and Development (L&D) Administrator

! You'll support the

L&D Manager throughout the full training lifecycle, from onboarding new staff and coordinating mandatory training to maintaining accurate records and running reports.


This role ensures staff training is up to date, data is accurate within the

HRIS, and all learning processes run smoothly and efficiently.

In this role, you will:




Provide administrative support across the full L&D cycle, including onboarding, mandatory training setup, and report monitoring.*
Maintain accurate L&D and HRIS records, ensuring the Single Central Record (SCR) is up to date.*
Act as the first point of contact for L&D queries via email, Teams, phone, and in person.*
Coordinate staff development activities and Personal Development Days, liaising with trainers and arranging logistics.*
Support College induction events, booking new starters, rooms, and speakers.*
Track refresher training, chase outstanding courses, and manage post-course feedback.*
Promote staff development opportunities and update intranet content.*
Order training materials and assist with L&D projects and budget tracking.*
Ensure compliance with College policies on Safeguarding, Diversity, Inclusion, Health & Safety, and Values.*
Carry out other duties consistent with the role as required.*


Essential Qualifications:




Minimum of Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics GCSE 4+ or C and above / CSE Level 1 / O-Level C or above / Level 2 Adult Numeracy or Literacy or equivalent.

Essential Experience:




Proven administrative skills with strong attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
