People Director
Significant, Six-Figures Basic salary + Bonus
Based South- UK Travel/Flexible working
This market-leading and highly respected 3PL provider, require an experienced HR professional. Reporting to the Chief Executive, the People Director, will lead a large HR team to ensure colleagues within their group are developed to deliver the business plan integral to the strategic aims and objectives of the business. This will include the leadership of the people strategy covering the full employee cycle. Ensuring the people strategy will deliver to the overall business strategy, drives business performance, and supports having a high-performance culture.
In addition, and a key part of this role, is industrial relations, both the management of the relationship with the union and devising the IR strategy. The ideal candidate will be a strong credible People Director with experience gained in relevant people environments, with a strong knowledge of logistics industry challenges and headwinds, which will ideally have been gained within a 3PL or a fast-paced, consumer-led environment. A must have, is the hands-on experience of dealing with industrial relations and managing heavily unionised workforces through change.
