We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented People Executive to join our growing People Team. In this role, you will work closely with another People Executive and the wider team to provide day-to-day operational support to departments across the Premier League UK Head Office.
You will collaborate with teams including People, Commercial, Football, Legal, Finance and Office Services to help deliver seamless and effective People Partnering support. The Premier League workforce consists of over 300 employees, supported by a 17 person People Team that delivers a proactive, values-driven HR service. Our team is responsible for a broad range of activity across employee experience, engagement, business culture, diversity and inclusion, learning and development, and recruitment, alongside core People services such as payroll, benefits, and employee relations. While this role focuses on supporting our UK-based employees, we also have a global presence with offices in Singapore, Belgium, New York, India, and China, supported by a dedicated International People Partner.

The role
The role will support on the operational delivery of all core tasks required to service the staff of the Premier League and ensure that we offer a best-in-class People team function. This includes, but is not limited to:
Acting as first point of contact for People queries, monitoring the People inbox and take a pro-active approach in providing support and advice on People policies and procedures.
Managing payroll activities including monthly payroll and annual P11D submission.
Onboarding new starters with People induction, issuing necessary policies and forms, and ensuring mandatory training has been completed, and managing any probation related processes.
Maintenance of employee records and auditing in payroll/HRIS, SharePoint folders and Excel spreadsheets.
Updating monthly management reports and company organogram chart with staff changes and providing ad hoc employee reports when necessary.
Produce employee letters as necessary such as change to contract letters, training agreements and references.
Leaver management including conducting and reporting on exit interviews.
Management of benefits administration including PMI, gym memberships and pension scheme.
Supporting on employee relations matters such as disciplinaries, grievances, absence management and flexible working request. Escalating to the People Manager where necessary.
Coordination of Occupational Health process providing support to line managers and employees on any recommendations and reasonable adjustments.
Organise and manage aspects of family-friendly processes, including flexible working, maternity, paternity, adoption, parental and unpaid leave. This includes keeping in touch with training/meetings/events and re- integration on return from leave.
Continuously review People Operations procedures and lead on the planning and delivery of streaming processes, including maintaining People documents such as Staff Handbook, key forms and policies.
Ad hoc People Operations tasks and project work as required; you will support your line manager on projects which have a payroll, benefits, compliance and systems focus.
Requirements for the role
Experience within generalist people team focused role supporting and advising on HR matters across the employee lifecycle.
Experience payroll processing.
Evidence of a passion for working with people and being inclusive in this approach.
High level of integrity with the ability to deal with sensitive and confidential matters.
Excellent communication skills and a high level of emotional intelligence.
Experience of being a system super user on People and Payroll systems, SAP experience preferrable.
Good knowledge of MS-Office applications.
Ability to build and manage relationships with a range of stakeholders.
A hardworking, self-motivated, and proactive attitude, with a flexible and collaborative working approach.
The ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment, where people are at the core of everything you do.
