The Role: Provide accurate and professional responses to internal and external people queries.*
Work with the People Director to review, implement and deliver the people strategy for business areas including Performance Management, Talent Management, Learning and Development, Absence Management, Welfare, Talent Acquisition and Reward.*
Manage one People Coordinator to deliver an excellent employee experience via the full employee lifecycle i.e., hiring, contract generation, induction, probation and leavers.*
Build effective working relationships with the senior people team and line managers to influence the business areas' needs in the organisational People Plan.*
Advise line managers on people policies and take a lead on ensuring these reflect changes in legislation and external best practice to add to the Landsec Employee Experience.*

The Team:This is an exciting opportunity to join a pro-active People Team with a clear set of people objectives and priorities for the coming year. Reporting to a People Director, you'll assist them in supporting specific areas of the business on a range of people priorities and activities, linked to the achievement of Landsec's business plan, company objectives and balanced scorecard.Managing the People Services Team, you'll establish yourself as key point of contact for employees and line managers. You'll do that through your understanding of the business, building trust and delivering on commitments. You will play a key role in helping to drive adoption and embed processes on topics like diversity and inclusion, talent, engagement and reward. It's important that we don't forget to deliver the basics brilliantly too which includes supporting the wider People Team, responding to queries we receive via a joint team inbox, producing contract documentation and processing payroll accurately and on time.
What you will be responsible for: Through effective stakeholder engagement, support leaders and managers across the business units to achieve their objectives through leveraging their people potential within their teams.*
Take a lead on advising and supporting managers in employee relations and performance management cases including drafting settlement agreements, disciplinary, redundancy, grievance processes and TUPE activity.*
Co-deliver training to line managers on people related topics. e.g., best practice talent acquisition, performance planning workshops, one-to-one technical training sessions such as on using workday etc.*
Attend business team meetings as appropriate.*
Support the Reward and L&D team activities i.e. employee benefits, Annual Performance Planning (APP) process and Annual Bonus Plan (ABP) processes.*
Provide support to the People Director on employee engagement action planning activities and priorities.*
Working in partnership with the Talent Acquisition Team and provide guidance to hiring managers on recruitment, such as good practice and D&I requirements.*
Responsible for maintaining accurate employee data on Workday.*
Proactive management of sickness absence cases, recording and reporting on leave of absences, including occupational health referrals, supporting and advising line managers and if required, transitioning employees onto our Group Income Protection scheme.*
Provide data and first level insight into themes and trends for the business unit from various sources such as Workday, Exit Interviews and Engagement Survey responses.*


Your skills, experience and qualifications:
Essential criteria Proven experience of communicating effectively to a range of different stakeholders through a variety of different communication methods.*
Able to demonstrate the ability to effectively prioritise work and manage stakeholder expectations.*
Experience of managing or supporting on different employee relation issues e.g. disciplinary or grievance investigations, long-term absence and wellbeing cases, performance improvement plans and family related queries i.e. maternity, paternity and shared parental leave.*
Experience of working in a People role, dealing effectively with a range of different queries and responding to requests for information.*
Ability to demonstrate an up to date working knowledge of employment law.*
