Payroll



Process all UK payrolls accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and organisational policies Collaborate with third-party payroll providers, managing relationships to ensure high-quality service delivery Verify and reconcile payroll data, including timesheets, allowances, deductions, and statutory payments Process all monthly payroll updates with Workday to ensure accuracy of employee data such as new hires, terminations, promotions, and salary adjustments Ensure all payroll documentation is securely filed and clear for reporting Prepare, review and then circulate secure reports to Finance and other key payroll stakeholders to ensure payroll accuracy and timely approvals of all payroll files Manage annual payroll calendar and work with the People Partners across the business in the collation of payroll data and documentation on a monthly basis In conjunction with Finance complete year-end tax reporting Act as the first point of contact for payroll-related queries, resolving employee concerns promptly.
Benefits


Manage the administration of employee benefits, including pensions, healthcare plans, and other reward schemes Provide guidance to employees on benefit offerings, eligibility, and enrolment processes Process benefit elections within Workday and ensure benefits data is correct within the system and updated post benefit renewals Oversee enrolment, changes, and terminations in benefits programs, ensuring compliance with provider terms and legal requirements On a monthly cadence, update Workday where needed with all benefit updates and audit benefit enrolment against payroll and employee files and then update benefit portals for hires and leavers Manage UK pension processes, including maintaining our obligations under auto enrolment, working with Finance to ensure contributions are transferred to our pension providers accurately and on time and ensure contribution levels and periods are accurate in Workday Process all invoices for payment and audit invoices and Workday to ensure benefit elections are accurately recorded and processed and then file securely Support the annual renewal process for benefits, liaising with brokers and providers to secure the best terms for competitive and industry leading benefits Track and report on benefits utilisation, providing insights to improve program effectiveness
Compliance, Data & Reporting


Ensure compliance with payroll and benefits regulations, including local tax and social security compliance, pensions auto-enrolment, and GDPR Prepare and circulate statutory returns, including but not limited to P45s, P60s, and P11Ds Prepare gender pay gap reporting for the UK Support internal and external audits by providing accurate and timely payroll and benefits data Stay up to date with legislative changes and ensure processes remain compliant Ensure HR documentation is kept confidential and accurately up-to-date and that filing is completed in a timely and organized manner
Mobility


Support mobility for EMEA & APAC with the assistance of the People Operations Coordinators Liaise with our immigration firm and ensure timely outcomes for the business and employees Manage the processing of mobility cases within Workday and payroll systems Ensure all immigration data is accurate within Workday and that there's proactivity with renewals
Process Improvement


Identify opportunities to streamline payroll, benefits and immigration processes, enhancing efficiency and employee satisfaction Collaborate with the Workday team to optimise payroll, benefits and immigration workflows and reporting capabilities Maintain and update process documentation to ensure clarity and consistency
Employee Support


Provide responsive and professional support to employees regarding payroll and benefits queries Deliver training sessions and communications to help employees understand and make the most of their benefits Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring seamless transitions for payroll and benefits
Workday


Support Workday team with testing as needed and update benefit schemes in Workday to ensure accurate automation of the benefit elections and tracking Support Director, People Operations and Workday team with the integration of acquired entities into the Company's People Operations, systems, and processes; including payroll transitions and benefit harmonization Assist in the annual compensation review process, including data preparation and reporting Support the maintenance and regular review of salary banding frameworks, ensuring alignment with market benchmarks
General


Cross train to support non-UK EMEA and APAC payrolls and benefits as needed Support with ad hoc projects Actively contribute to a culture of continual improvement, making recommendations and using initiative to ensure best in class People Operations delivery
The above forms the main areas of responsibility for this role, but it is not exhaustive and it should be noted that duties may change over time, so the need for flexibility is key and the job-holder will be expected to co-operate with reasonable changes as required.


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE


Proven experience in payroll, benefits administration, and compensation support Strong understanding of UK payroll regulations, benefits schemes, compensation practices, and statutory requirements Experience working with third-party payroll providers and managing vendor relationships Knowledge of salary benchmarking and compensation frameworks Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in payroll, benefits, and compensation processing Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify trends Excellent organisational and time management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities Proficiency in payroll and Workday systems, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on delivering excellent employee experiences
