About the role:

Location: Hatfield, Ocado Logistics Head Office (Hybrid role - at least 2 days per week in the office)

Are you a motivated and experienced leader with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and driving administrative excellence? If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our team as a People Operation Team Leader in the Logistics People Services division at Ocado Logistics. Our Logistics People Services team plays a critical role in supporting our operations by delivering and maintaining excellent administration and customer service across various aspects of the people agenda. As a People Operations Team Leader, you will lead a team of dedicated administrators within the Employee Relations Support team to ensure the smooth execution of people processes, while driving initiatives that enhance the employee experience in alignment with our Logistics business strategy.

You will be:

As a People Operations Team Leader, your role encompasses a broad spectrum of responsibilities, including leading a team of People Administrators to deliver exceptional customer service and administrative support to the Logistics People Team and Operation. Your expertise will extend to providing pragmatic advice on policies, collaborating with the wider People Team to ensure timely administration, and offering support on matters like absence and disciplinary issues. You will drive process improvement within the People Shared Services team, work closely with stakeholders to implement best practices, and ensure the integrity of employee data in line with GDPR. Your leadership will extend to managing complaints, participating in team meetings, and utilising data to address key issues.

About you:

To excel in this role, you will require a comprehensive grasp of Logistics People Services processes and operating practices, along with adept stakeholder management skills to engage diverse groups. Analytical acumen for interpreting data and trends, combined with exceptional communication, numeracy, and literacy skills, are essential. Attentiveness to detail, precision, and prior experience in motivating teams are crucial attributes. Your customer-centric approach and dedication to enhancing the customer journey, coupled with adept time management and prioritisation skills, will be imperative to meet targets. Experience in quality checks, training material design, and familiarity with case management systems are prerequisites. Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and IT systems, as well as cloud-based HRIS/technology like WorkDay, will prove valuable. Prior HR involvement in a shared service model, coupled with a poised leadership style and resilience under pressure, are important. A proactive, self-driven work approach, dedication to superior customer service, and adaptability as a team player are highly valued. Your integrity in handling sensitive data and problem-solving aptitude focused on solutions will be integral to success.
