As a team, we deliver on the people strategy that underpins the Channel 4 FastForward strategy. Teams include Talent, L&D, People Partnering, Reward, and People Operations, working together to support and coach the business to improve and evolve, ensuring that the life cycle of each employee is positive and culturally supportive.

JOB PURPOSE





This role will be part of the People Partnering team and will bring strong and varied generalist HR experience to manage and navigate a variety of complex organisational projects.



We are looking for someone who has worked as People Partner or Senior Advisor previously, and who has experience of working on organisation design and organisational change projects, preferably in a digital, tech or media organisation.



This role will work closely with the Senior People Partners, the People Resolution Partner and the Head of People Partnering on a portfolio of work across the Creative, Commercial and Operations divisions at Channel 4.



This is a busy and somewhat unpredictable role, requiring someone who is highly organised, enjoys problem solving, and is comfortable both working with autonomy and as part of a team. It is imperative to be comfortable working with a variety of HR system, to enjoy working with data, and have a solid knowledge of UK Employment Law.



The role of the People Partner includes:
Providing generalist HR advice, support, and guidance to leaders, managers and employees Working collaboratively to ensure delivery of the People Strategy, via colleagues and stakeholders Work alongside the Senior People Partners to help strategically drive their departmental projects and organisational design work Manage a portfolio of work across the Creative, Commercial, and Operational areas of C4

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Being a key member of the People Partnering team, providing HR expertise, across a wide variety of topics, to leaders, managers and employees Advising on and supporting with a wide variety of employee resolution matters Driving and helping design OD, change and transformation activity Contributing to the planning and implementation of HR activity on a portfolio basis Being part of cross-functional project teams, to represent the people workstream Bringing data expertise, using appropriate tools and methodologies to identify people insights Be curious and look for ways to do things better and more effectively within the legal framework Be confident in highlighting risks, holding people to account, and following up on actions Being willing to take on additional developmental tasks when workload allows

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE & SKILLS


Prior experience of working as a People Partner/Senior HR Advisor Prior experience of working on or managing complex people related transformation projects Experience of implementing organisation design activity Experience of running collective and individual consultation processes Experienced in using data to drive decision making and draw insights Able to demonstrates excellent diligence and high levels of accuracy Is confident engaging with, and presenting to, a wide variety of stakeholders including senior stakeholders. Enjoys working collaboratively in a team and can self-manage their workload Has demonstrated high levels of initiative Intermediate level Microsoft Office suite Is enthusiastic about, and aligned to, the C4 remit.

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE & SKILLS


CIPD Qualification OD (organisational design) and/or change management qualifications Experience of working in Digital, Technology, or Media organisations Experience of working with Power BI, or other data systems



Basic salary per annum starting from



64,969.00

Hybrid working



From September 2023, C4 has operated a 60/40 working pattern, equating to three office days per week.


Having everyone in the office three days a week gives us more opportunity to build our high performing, inclusive culture; to collaborate and to learn and share with each other, as well as helping to coordinate a regular pattern of home and office working days. Employees then have the flexibility to decide where they spend the rest of the working week. All our offices are open five days a week.
