We're a thriving family-run business who are on the lookout for a People & Performance Manager who's ready to roll up their sleeves and shape the future of our team.

This is a hands-on, proactive role where no two days are the same, you'll be instrumental in developing our people strategy across and bakery and retail sites and strengthening our culture, ensuring that every team member feels valued, supported, and set up to succeed.

You'll champion a positive, people-first workplace, introducing practical processes that make a real difference and bringing creative ideas to support performance, development, and employee wellbeing.

This role entails the direct line management of team members operating across three different sites. The post holder will have overall responsibility for ensuring adequate staffing levels, which includes leading on the recruitment and selection of new staff, maintaining effective rota systems, and managing staff availability to meet service needs. Additionally, they will oversee the management of sickness absence, act as the primary contact for staff reporting sickness absence, including monitoring attendance, conducting return-to-work interviews, and implementing appropriate support or interventions where required to promote wellbeing and minimise disruption to operational delivery.

This role requires some degree of flexibility to ensure consistency.

Pay: Part time - 35,000.00 - 40,000.00 pro rata based on experience

Hours: 25 - 30 hours over five days (exact hours to be negotiated) scope to increase
