We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and self-motivated People Services Advisor to join our team. This is a busy and varied role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys supporting people-related processes.

In this role you will provide first-line HR advice to managers and employees, supporting with employee relations casework, assisting in the delivery of HR initiatives, and ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day HR operations. This role would suit someone who is highly organised, approachable, and passionate about delivering excellent service as part of a collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities

Provide first-line HR advice on performance, absence, disciplinary, and employee relations matters. Support consistent application of HR policies and procedures across the business. Assist with core HR processes including salary reviews, benefits, and system implementation. Monitor employment law changes and support policy updates and communication. Develop practical HR resources such as toolkits, templates, and guidance documents. Promote employee engagement, wellbeing, and retention. Prepare accurate payroll data and ensure GDPR-compliant record-keeping. Support recruitment and workforce planning. Build strong stakeholder relationships and contribute to a positive workplace culture.

Key Competencies

Essential

Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex HR matters clearly. Proven ability to build effective relationships with managers and key stakeholders. In-depth understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice. Experience handling a range of HR matters, including employee relations, in a fast-paced environment. Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and SharePoint. Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail and a solution-focused mindset. Confident interpreting and advising on HR policies and practices. Strong organisational and time management skills. Excellent teamworking and collaboration skills. CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent experience).
Desirable

Experience delivering training or coaching to line managers. HR experience within a similar sector or fast-paced environment. Involvement in HR system implementations or process improvements. Ability to analyse HR data and produce reports to support decision-making.
