Reducing the Risk of Domestic Abuse Performance and Quality Officer



Background to the post



Reducing the Risk is an Oxfordshire-based charity committed to the safety and empowerment of victims of abuse and of those who support them - and to promoting partnership working. The charity acts as a safe, trustworthy, responsive and inclusive resource for victims and their families, through its services in Oxfordshire, and for volunteers and practitioners nationally through its consultancy and training. In particular, it has developed the High-Risk and Specialist Criminal and Civil Justice Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) Service and Reducing the Risk's DA Champion Network approach.

The charity plans to grow and develop its services across all of its current areas of work and this post will be vital to supporting and driving that change programme.

Scope and purpose of the role



The Performance & Quality Officer primarily supports the Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) service, and as well as offering some administrative support, will focus on the coordination, implementation, and monitoring performance of a set of agreed projects within the IDVA team. A key project for the role will be to write materials, organise existing documents, and manage the completion of the organisation's accreditation process. They will report to the CEO against the agreed work plans. This role will proactively identify and implement improvements to manage and improve overall performance relating to the High-Risk and associated IDVA projects.

Core Responsibilities



The post holder will:



Work with the CEO to drive forward RtR IDVA and associated quality assurance processes. Support staff with the delivery of RtR IDVA services by ensuring that projects and services are managed effectively, risks identified and managed, data collected, monitored and analysed Lead on obtaining RtR's service accreditation process Review, analyse, and report monthly/quarterly data required for the commissioners and Trustee Dashboard Report writing and creation on a quarterly and annual basis Deliver on-site support to staff relating to IDVA delivery and associated and multi-agency projects. Work with the CEO to implement a project management methodology in RtR Use project management methodologies to monitor progress on selected RtR and multi -agency projects or areas of work and report back to the CEO on progress. Keep a record of key reporting timescales including update reports back to trusts. Offer some administrative support to IDVAs/ Quality Assurance Subgroup, staff/trustees/Chair as agreed with the CEO. Work closely with IDVA Service Manager to ensure data collection and outcome monitoring processes are in place to help evidence and inform our local impact Support the effective delivery of Reducing the Risk's goals, as set out in strategic and business plans and in line with charitable objectives, values and ethos and governing documents. Work with colleagues to ensure that Reducing the Risk provides safe, quality assured, effective practice. Support the CEO in writing funding bids and provide any data and related information. Promote collaborative working across all parts of the organisation.

General Responsibilities:



Represent and be an ambassador for Reducing the Risk Work to support the mission, ethos, and values of Reducing the Risk including all adult and child safeguarding responsibilities. Be flexible and carry out other associated duties as may arise, develop, or be assigned in line with the broad remit of the position Support and promote diversity and equality of opportunity throughout Reducing the Risk Some hybrid working is available as agreed with the CEO, however the post holder will be in the office as and when required by the needs of the charity. Hybrid working will only commence once the post holder is familiar with the organisation and job role.
This job description does not form part of your contract of employment and can be amended in negotiation with the post-holder from time to time as the needs of the organisation require.

Person Specification:



Experience/aptitude for data analysis and data visualisation, and familiarity with excel/google sheets Highly organised and able to manage multiple projects in parallel Ability to manage own workload, deliver on tasks, and to be flexible to deliver revised plans and objectives quickly Ability to design and deliver analytical information from different work streams including databases and complex reports The ability to work independently as well as actively committed to team and partnership working. Effective communication skills both verbal and written Aptitude or experience of managing projects Ability to pay attention to detail Evidence of commitment to upholding the rights of people facing disadvantage and discrimination range of people, including charities, local government, private sector, service users.

Knowledge

:

Knowledge of working in project management framework or capacity or wish to learn. Ability to manipulate and analyse data. Keen eye for detail and numerically sound. Experience with managing accreditation processes is preferred.

Education:



Good level of education including Maths and English to A level Degree preferred

This role entails flexibility to work some evenings and weekends and will require some travel within the UK. The post holder will require a DBS check
