Role Overview:
We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Compliance and Quality Officer, who will play a critical role in supporting the company's compliance framework, ensuring alignment with ISO 9001:2015. You will help maintain the Quality Management System (QMS), conduct internal audits, deliver mandatory safety training and assist in the organisation's preparations for external BSI audits. You will also support day-to-day administrative functions and report regularly to the Senior Management team advising on Compliance performance; supporting our ethos of continual improvement
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and develop the company's compliance framework, policies, and procedures
Coordinate the ongoing development of the company QMS
Monitor regulatory requirements (e.g. Ofcom licensing, GDPR, HSE obligations, insurance) and ensure ongoing compliance with business standards and those standards stipulated upon us by clients.
Lead internal audits and coordinate external inspections or certifications
Manage incident reporting and risk registers by working with relevant stakeholders to find resolutions and preventative actions to close internal tickets
Oversee staff compliance training and awareness campaigns
Maintain relationships with key regulators and industry bodies
Support tender responses and customer compliance questionnaires/forms
Advise management on compliance risks related to commercial projects or new services
Working with Senior Management, draft, review and update policies, SOPs and operational procedures
Maintain accurate document control, archiving historic versions of documentation
Act as Data Protection Officer (if required)
Manage user entries and ensure data integrity in compliance portals (e.g., Avetta, Safe Contractor, JOSCAR, Reset)
Required Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in a compliance, governance, or regulatory role, ideally within telecoms, engineering, field service, or technology
Strong knowledge of UK compliance regulations (e.g. GDPR, Health & Safety)
Experience maintaining compliance frameworks and delivering internal audits
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
High attention to detail with strong organisational abilities
Confidence to work cross-functionally with operations, sales, IT, and external parties
A working knowledge of ISO standards (e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 27001) and QMS frameworks is desirable
Previous experience managing whistleblowing or incident reporting systems is a plus
Health and Safety instructor certification or practical delivery experience in required training areas is desirable
The ability to pass a full enhanced disclosure (DBS)
An IOSH or NEBOSH qualification is advantageous; candidates without it should show a clear intention to pursue certification
Knowledge of Ofcom regulations is advantageous but not a pre-requisite
Familiarity with artificial intelligence applications and a willingness to employ new technologies effectively

Hours: 08:45-17:00 Mon-Thu, 08:45-16:00 Fri.
Holiday: 23 days plus statutory Bank Holidays.
Probation period: 6 months
Salary expectations: 32,500k-36,500K commensurate with experience.
Location: Redditch, B98.
Start date: Immediate, however willing to wait for the required notice period.
