We look forward to meeting new faces and eager minds, ready to join our mission of creating a better-connected network in the North and Scotland, for good.
The whole essence of train performance is making trains run on time, and the Performance Delivery Manager is the key to this at TPE. The essence of your role will be to understand why any trains on your route are delayed, and to formulate and undertake timely actions to prevent future delays.
Critical to the role is a rounded understanding of railway operations; timetabling, crewing, fleet, Network Rail operations and infrastructure, along with knowledge of the TPE network.
Making the railway run punctually is not a simple task, so you will be required to be energic and meticulous as you tenaciously follow actions through to their completion, and this will involve working closely with a wide range of other parties, so organisation and influencing skills are a key requirement. This will include overseeing the formulation of route performance strategy plans.
You should also be familiar with industry performance systems such as Trust and Bugle, and an analytical mindset to interpret this data. A knowledge of the delay attribution process would also be beneficial.
