Performance Netball Coach

self-employed basis

or as a

Casual Contract

, with hours that naturally vary throughout the year in line with the sporting seasons.

As a valued member of our Sport and Physical Health programme, you will work closely with the Director of Sport and Head of Netball to ignite a love for Netball and support pupils in striving for excellence. Your coaching will play a central role in nurturing talent, building confidence and empowering young athletes to reach their full potential.

You will contribute to the delivery of a high-quality programme across all age groups, ensuring that training reflects the latest England Netball guidelines. Significant experience playing Netball is essential; coaching or umpiring experience - particularly with younger age groups - will be a strong advantage.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed coach with relevant qualifications and a genuine passion for inspiring pupils aged 3 - 18. If you thrive in a lively school environment and are excited to immerse yourself in the life of a busy Boarding and Day School, we would love to hear from you.

Our outstanding facilities include the Princess Royal Sports Complex, conditioning suite, indoor pool, all-weather pitch, MUGA, climbing walls, squash courts and extensive playing fields. The department is made up of specialist teachers, dedicated coaches and visiting professionals who bring diverse skills and experience to support every pupil's journey.

About the role



Working closely with the Head of Netball, you will take ownership of:

Coaching and leading sessions for key Netball teams throughout the Spring Term Enhancing the physical and technical performance of players across all age groups Upholding exceptional standards of sportsmanship, conduct and school representation Leading specified teams at home and away fixtures, midweek and on Saturdays Prioritising player safety and maintaining the highest health and safety practices Acting as a positive role model, promoting the values and benefits of Netball and sport Assisting in delivering staff training for internal and external coaching teams Supporting the wider ethos of the School and contributing to its aims and policies
You will be an integral part of a department committed to excellence, enjoyment and holistic development.

You'll bring:



Essential:



Significant experience playing Netball Transferable coaching experience with school-age players UKCC Level 1 Netball (minimum) Strong organisational, analytical and communication skills A genuine passion for working with young people and fostering wellbeing A collaborative mindset and the ability to build positive working relationships

Desirable:



Umpiring C Award Additional coaching or sport-related qualifications First Aid qualification (training can be provided) Safeguarding knowledge (training will be provided)
