Role summary



The AI Performance Strategist holds overall responsibility for their selected clients' digital strategy and performance. They ensure all paid channel-specific deliverables are met and that client outcomes are achieved, taking ultimate accountability for the success of the paid media strategy.

The focus of the role is outward - on client success - while also guiding the immediate team's execution of strategies to meet those client objectives The Performance Strategist is accountable for their team's results, with key KPIs including client satisfaction scores, campaign performance metrics, revenue vs. targets, and growth of client accounts under their management.

You will be responsible for the preparation, activation, optimisation, and performance analysis for your allocated accounts, as well as helping to identify best practice ways of working for the team. You will need to deliver regular reports and actionable insight to both clients and internal stakeholders, showing campaign results, and offering suggestions for continued improvement. This is a leadership role, and a key component will be training, inspiring others and being a confident presenter. It is worth noting this role will sit in a team of other Performance Strategists who will be responsible for their own client set.

Requirements



Demonstrated track record of planning and executing successful campaigns across multiple channels and industries. Previous management experience is highly desirable, and you should be able to communicate with diplomacy at all times.

A strong passion for all forms of digital paid media is essential, relishing the prospect of working across multiple accounts and platforms within a fast-paced agency environment.

Role Management



You will be responsible for the implementation of processes and best practice ways of working, in order to deliver excellent client service and increase efficiencies within the team.

Support the Head of Paid (Ops) with the rollout of new products and technology solutions.

You will be responsible and accountable for reviewing all account activity and seeking areas of improvement, helping to train and nurture more junior members of the team.

You will oversee daily project management and team operations, ensuring processes are followed and work is delivered on time and to a high standard. Coordinate with internal teams (e.g. the Account Director referred to as Client Partner Lead (CPL) and client pod (your team of media specialists)) to keep projects on track and running smoothly.

Commercial Acumen



Be responsible for monitoring and reporting MoM and YoY spend across all accounts, and investigate any irregularities. Make sure all activity within the department is run as effectively as possible and identify areas of growth or efficiencies to help drive GP.

Manage the financial performance of client accounts to meet revenue and profitability targets. Track the team's billable hours and media spend against plans, and take corrective action if a campaign is under-spending or off-track.

Negotiate budget increases or reallocations with clients by demonstrating the value and ROI of proposed initiatives in each channel. Ensure that any changes in spend align with client goals and deliver clear performance benefits.

Identify and pursue opportunities to grow client accounts - for example, recommending new campaign types or channels - and clearly explain how these initiatives can improve results to secure client buy-in.

Communication



Your main role will be working alongside the CPL to regularly review the performance of all clients, and help ensure consistent level of service and best practice ways of working.

You will serve as the primary senior contact for clients on digital strategy and execution, managing day-to-day communications and running client meetings.

You will confidently discuss all digital channels and the wider Space & Time service offering with clients, providing performance insights and addressing any requests or issues directly.

You will channel client feedback into actionable improvements, ensuring strong client relationships and satisfaction.

Leadership & Initiative



Drive innovation by finding new solutions and bringing fresh ideas to life. Encourage the team to be curious and experiment with new tactics or tools and sharing the results.

Share knowledge and best practices with peer Performance Strategists in other teams to ensure integrated approaches (e.g., aligning social and search campaigns for consistency). Proactively feed insights and needs back to senior management (such as the Business Director), acting as a bridge between the team's daily operations and the broader leadership vision.

Directly manage and mentor junior team members (such as Paid Media Executives). Provide regular coaching and feedback, set clear annual objectives, and guide their career progression. Conduct performance reviews focused on individual development and technical skill growth.

Strategic Excellence



Multi-Channel Digital Strategy: Integrate and oversee multi-channel strategies for clients, focusing on cross-channel opportunities to boost overall performance (for example, aligning Paid Social efforts with PPC campaigns). Approve major strategic shifts in campaign direction and ensure they fit within the client's broader marketing goals and the company's objectives.

Work closely with CPL to gain deep insights into client challenges and develop comprehensive solutions beyond single-channel tactics. This collaboration ensures strategies are holistic and address the client's needs from all angles.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 30,000.00-35,000.00 per year
